At every training program that Advanced Mobility Africa carries out, the trainer will always notice the exemplary participants. They might not mention it publicly, but often they will mark out the trainees that stood out for things like open mindedness, inquisitive questioning, work ethic, organization or people skills. During the recently concluded E-Mobility Technical training program, several participants stood out for various exemplary attributes. I will highlight one remarkable example.
One participant that caught the attention of the Master EV Technician TAURAYI RAYMOND SEWERA was Syvia Makumi, a technician at a local garage. Unknown to many, Sylvia’s determination was evident even before the training began. She did not have the full training fee but she requested to make a down payment so as not to miss the training, with a promise to clear the balance later. During the program she was very engaged both in the classroom theory & workshop practical sessions.
The many positive attributes led the Master Technician to make an unprecedented announcement, he was going to offer Sylvia a return trip to his specialized EV workshop in Harare for a hands-on 1 month apprenticeship program. Conventional wisdom has always reminded us to always put our best foot forward because you never know who is watching. Indeed as the saying goes, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear.
Congratulations Sylvia!
